The Internet in Indonesia is dying

The internet is dying. That's what i've been hearing
and reading from friends for this couple of days.

It refers to the lack of internet connection in the south east asia, which caused by the earthquake in Taiwan (26/12/2006). The 7,1 richter scale of earthquake had cause damages to the optic fiber in the underground sea, and disturbs the communication trough South East Asia. The government said it will take a several weeks to fix the damage.

However, people can still connect to the internet
using GPRS connection.
